jer too close to call here, you've got nevada and colorado and iowa, as well as virginia, new hampshire, and florida. there is virginia and florida there. abc news is predicting mr. obama will likely win we'll see fog pushing into north bay valleys so normal seasonal conditions will return overnight lows into low 50s so cooler overnight. then some of the overnight readings earlier in the week. here is what's happening in the atmosphere, high pressure is retreating now, moving away. this big cold air mass coming our way. the cold front could bring showers to us. we'll start at 5:00 thursday morning. it will be dry. by 10:00 thursday morning we'll see showers developing in the north bay. the front swings eastward and south ward. showers reaching other parts of the bay area, there is not a lot of moisture with this system. some showers could trail into friday morning before giving way to sunny skies and much cooler conditions. into the seera, winter weather advisory in effect from thursday morning until friday afternoon. snow levels will be down to 3500 feet. tomorrow here in the

in the sierra nevada. it doesn't look like much of an event for precipitation. yesterday 80s and 90s for many. san jose was 80. oakland 80. redwood city 80. sfo add 78 degrees -- at 78 degrees. just a few more record highs. temperatures were 10-15 above normal. now we are getting a earl breeze. temperatures drop today. they will continue to drop into friday and level out. not much of a system up here but that is definitely picked up the fog. that is a big change. 40s to 50s. the temperatures spread was about 15-16 degrees yesterday. i mean san francisco is sitting in the low 60s. now they're at 54-degrees with that fog and westerly breeze. again not a lot of rain with this. the cold air is upstream. this is your cloud, rain forecast. see how the system will increase. shower activity going through. that will take us into friday. a better opportunity i think on friday. again it's the cold more than the rain with this system. but it will linger into saturday morning. low clouds, fog, sun, cooler. westerly wind in place instead of an east or northeast. 60s and 70s now. temperatures on their way d

, we have a winter weather advisory in place for the sierra nevada as snow levels tahoe area will fall to 2,500 feet. that is very low for this early in the season. slick conditions blowing snow, wind gusts, 40 to 60 miles per hour. if you're headed to tahoe this weekend, make sure you have your chains or four-wheel drive ready to go. as we are expecting icy conditions. 86 for today and quite the contrary today. 86 in livermore and 80 degrees in fremont and 80 degrees in los gatos and 80en sane front. here's those changes. tuesday 86 and by tomorrow we shave off 10 to 15 degrees and by thursday we fall back into the 50s and friday periods of rain early and that's when snow levels will really drop off. friday will be the coolest day of the week. only 57 degrees in places like livermore and then saturday into sunday, the sun comes back out, but take a couple days for that cold air to mix out of the bay area. we'll be at about 68, close to 70 on monday. but major changes ahead. we'll talk about which cities have the best chance of breaking records today. first, check your drive it's 5:49
